Wei Lerr (Power in Community)

Hey I am Wei Lerr (she/her), and I am running for CECS Rep with Power in Community! 

I identify as a woman, an international student and people of colour studying STEM, and I strive hard to ensure educational equity for all students. This year, I represented the Malaysian Students’ Organisation (MSO) as the Vice President, and was involved in both International Students’ Department (ISD) and International Portfolio in UniLodge. 

Having experienced disorganised degree and courses, and noticed the gap in the communication between students and the representatives, my policies will focus on:

1. Reviewing CECS Degrees and Courses Structure 
2. Knocking down barriers to equitable education
3. Building CECS Community and continued partnerships with CECS student societies
4. Increasing communication and transparency
